​​​Pete is a graduate of Memphis State University with a BA Degree in Political Science and Public Administration.  Minor studies in Native American History and American Military History.


He served with Air Force Intelligence, including 2½ years in Vietnam.

Pete’s award-winning article “A Veteran’s Story” is featured in several Georgia newspapers.  He has been featured in Georgia Magazine and appeared on Atlanta’s Channel 69 and AM1160.  Presently, Pete works as a consultant for PBA-30 (PBS) in Atlanta on a TV special to air before the premier of Ken Burn’s new documentary on Vietnam in September of 2017.

Pete has served as Keynote speaker for several organizations including Wreathes Across America, the North Georgia Veterans at Big Canoe and the Soleil Veterans Club in Canton.  In August of 2016 he was appointed Lieutenant Colonel, Aide-de-Camp, Georgia Governor’s staff by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal plus received a Letter of Appreciation from the Georgia Department of Veterans Service.  He is also Commander of the distinguished Atlanta World War II Round Table.

Other memberships include: Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Assoc., Golden Age Warriors, American Legion, the Georgia Vietnam Veterans Alliance; VFW, and serves as a board member for Honor Flight Conyers.

He coordinates three monthly veteran brunches, conducts lectures and symposiums, panel discussions, and is in the completion stage of a book on his interviews with over 300 veterans.

Attended the American Institute of Banking with an emphasis on operations, accounting and Foreign Banking Transactions.

Employed with Citibank and C&S/NationsBank for 26 years followed by a 16 year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a Director of Ethics & Compliance.

Bill is a Certified Consumer Credit Executive (CCCE) by the International Credit Association (ICA). He served as the Atlanta President of ICA as well as a director on the international Board of Directors of ICA.  Bill has also served as a member of the Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) a best practice community of organizations that are committed to creating and sustaining high quality ethics & compliance programs.

Bill has traveled and lived extensively abroad in such countries as, Pakistan, India, Iran, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Germany, and the Bahamas.

Bill, as the guest of the Peoples Republic of China and the People to People project, was a guest lecturer at many Universities and colleges throughout China on Banking and Credit.
